Holy moley Steve, Granddad and I just watched Elektra take her first walking steps without holding on to anything! She took 3 steps, from the end of the reclined part of the couch to the middle (corner) of the couch, throwing herself at the couch as she was losing her balance. GOOD GIRL!!!
Of course, she hasn't done it again since (ok, so it's only been 5 minutes), but we are trying to encourage it... thus digging our own "grave" as it were. We like to think it'll be man-to-man defense once she starts walking, but we know that in reality, we'll have to play zone!
