Elektra received Leap Frog's My Pal Violet for her birthday. Violet sings songs, plays games, etc. The cool thing about it is that it's programmable (via a USB cable and an internet connection).
DJ took quite a liking to Violet, but would put her down when distracted by something else.
So Daddy purchased the boy version, My Pal Scout. Daddy programmed "David" for DJ's name, his favorite color (green... we don't know, we guessed), his favorite food (bananas... again, we're guessing here), and some specific songs like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star that he loves. Now, when DJ turns on Scout, Scout says, "Hi David!" and DJ just beams. That smile is so big that it's blinding. The second that DJ heard Scout say his name, Scout became his favorite toy.
Violet has since been programmed to called Elektra "Princess" since clearly, Leap Frog isn't going to have "Elektra" in their database. Her favorite food = cheese, color = pink, and has a few songs, too. Elektra dances when Violet starts playing songs. It's cute!
