What is it with socks and their uncanny knack to lose their match?

This seems to be particularly true when it comes to baby socks. Socks are known to get lost in the wash somehow. But with baby socks, we're managing to lose them before they even get to the dirty laundry basket! I don't get it! I'm nearly certain that DJ is wearing both socks when we get home from wherever. By the time I go to change him for bed, there's a sock missing, and I can't find it anywhere.

I have lost more of DJ's socks in the last month than in my whole life! Sheesh!
