DJ's first head cold

DJ got his first head cold on Monday. Poor little guy.

At first, we wondered if maybe it was teething symptoms. But he's been sneezing a ton and there are buckets of mucus pouring out of his nose.

On Monday, I got a call from Miss Eleanor, his day care provider, asking if she could give him some Tylenol to try and get the fever to break that he'd also developed. You can tell he isn't as bright eyed as he usually is. Even though he hasn't been a huge fuss, you could tell he isn't himself. He'll play, but he also wants to be cuddled/held a lot more than usual. He *sounds* stuffed and even a little hoarse.

For being sick, he's been sleeping ok. He's been waking up about once a night and you have to calm him down again to get his sinuses to drain so that he can breathe through his nose (because of course, he wants his pacifier, too!). Last night, I actually had to rock him back to sleep, 2nd time ever having to do that. Not that I minded! :)
