At home on Monday night and on Tuesday at daycare, DJ had an accident. He was just so engrossed in playing that he completely forgot that he needed to go potty.
In the case of Monday night, he'd just gone potty not half an hour before, so this surprised all of us. No rugs were harmed in the making of that potty training session.
On Tuesday at Eleanor's, he was having such a good time playing in the sandbox (and consequently, drizzling sand onto Grace's head/hair) that he didn't notice that he needed to go. It was completely immaterial that DJ (and Grace, for that matter) needed a bath because of his accident ... because was completely covered in sand!!!
But on the positive side, he has been coming to our room in the mornings and asking to go potty when he wakes up. And he goes successfully! He has been wearing diapers only for naps and bedtime. In fact, last night, he wanted no parts of underwear OR his diaper!!! So he ran around nekkid. :-)
